At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Employees, contingent workers and visitors are no longer required to show proof of vaccination to be on-site. Effective January 2023, Freddie Mac's hybrid work arrangement is 3 days in the office (specifically Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).

Position Overview:

It is an exciting time to be a part of Freddie Mac! We are seeking agile developers for our Multifamily division in Plano, Texas. If you are a junior or senior level full stack developer who is highly innovative and wants to be part of a dynamic and engaged team, apply to attend our select in-person hiring event on October 5 and 6th. These roles are performed on a hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office in our Plano, Texas location.

Your Impact:

In addition to your rockstar developer skills, you will mentor the team and drive full adoption of modern software engineering and delivery practices (Real Agile, TDD, ATDD, Stateless Design, Microservices, Containerization, etc.).

Senior Level Qualifications:

5-8 years of experience engineering solutions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience; advanced studies and degree preferred
4 + years of relevant experience leading modernized development teams
Deep knowledge and experience in designing for and implementing solutions in the cloud (AWS). This can range from custom code on IaaS/PaaS to SaaS solution integrations
Languages: Java, Angular, node.js, Python,
Modern Tools: Jenkins, Cucumber, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket), Git
DBs: PostgreSQL, Mongo
Cloud: AWS
Other: EKS, Docker, Openshift

Professional Level Qualifications:

2-4 years of related professional experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or related field
1- 2-years of experience with SAFE Agile, Kanban or SCRUM frameworks
2 years of experience in: Java /J2EE, Spring (Spring Core, Spring Rest, Spring Boot) or equivalent programming languages (C++, Python)
1 year of experience in databases management: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Sybase with advanced SQL knowledge
2 years of experience in test automation concepts, frameworks, UI automation using standard automation languages
Experience with development and testing tools- Jenkins, Cucumber, Selenium, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket), Git, Gradle
1 year of DevOps experience in AWS environment or equivalent (Azure, Google) - desirable
AWS Certified developer - desirable
