This is an amazing new role for one of our trusted clients for specialising in fleet management software. This is a hybrid position merging Bid management and account management so having a background in these is a must. The role is based out of Manchester and is an incredible opportunity to join an international company looking top develop and improve your skill set. The role of Bid and Account Manager is to lead all bids from both the public & private sector, generating opportunity to allow further growth for the business. In this role you will also manage the effective farming of our public sector client base and lead all activities associated with a client bids and tenders, ensuring the growth of the current win ratio. The bid and account manager position will involve the leading of a virtual multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality, commercially strong tender responses that are submitted on time and on budget. The bid and account manager is responsible for continual improvement, updating and growing bid process documentation and ensuring the library of resources available is of the highest quality to reduce time to complete responses while growing the quality of the response. For this role you should be tenacious, with the ability to drive the highest quality outputs from the bid team; have a good understanding of public procurement and what makes a compelling winning bid and be naturally curious and will challenge the business, including senior management. You will be monitoring portals for opportunities either pre-identified by the Sales team or new opportunities from client base as well as engaging with selected public sector accounts to maximise all "back to base" opportunities. You will be able to build strong relationships with the clients to ensure tender influence and where possible direct awards. Engage with the market at industry events, specifically around procurement and paths to procure. You'll drive early bid/no bid decisions by preparing a full overview of the opportunity, competition, background, pricing; Present to the bid team at a bid/no bid meeting no later than 4 working days after an opportunity has been identified; Develop and achieve sign off for win strategies and power positions. Lead the creation of win strategies and power positions alongside the sales lead, gaining input from the Sales Director at all stages - achieving sign off within the first 5 working days of the bid timeline: Be proactive and detailed project management of the complete tender process, including strategy, design, drafting, review, and production. Deliver compelling, high quality, winning bid documents (including presentation materials if required), tailored to each opportunity, so that bids are delivered successfully, on time, to standard and budget. Hold overall accountability for the quality of all documents submitted as part of the bid process, specifically making sure that power positions are embedded through the response and any subsequent documentation, and the review team have sufficient time to ensure quality and consistency in the response, amongst many other duties. You should also have the bellow skillset: Consistent high-quality communication and documentation (internal and external) with excellent written English Previous experience in working on complex public sector tenders, ideally for a contractor or a system integrator Previous experience in technical record/report writing Advanced MS Office skills Strong project management expertise (PRINCE2/APM qualifications an advantage) - ideally within bid management A proven ability to motivate and manage a dispersed team Strong verbal communicator at all levels, face to face and across dispersed teams Methodical approach to tasks with the ability to delegate Approachable, supportive manner, leading by example Keen eye for detail and ability to proofread accurately and swiftly So, if you have bid and account management experience and this sounds like the role for you don't hesitate and apply to find out more!
