We are looking for a Business Development Representative to support Microlise s future partnerships, to enable a safe, efficient and sustainable connected world. As a key member of the Business Development team, you will be pivotal in generating leads and sales appointments; through the identification of new business opportunities and the outreach to prospects through telephone, email, social media, and other digital tools. What you will be doing: Identification of companies and contacts that are prospective customers Ensure Customer Relationship Management systems are continually updated, with business development activities and accurate information Outreach to prospects through telephone, email, social media, and other digital tools Initial qualification of leads and opportunities Setting of new business appointments for the new business team Ensure all leads and prospects are followed up as required Manage tasks and activities so that these are targeted and managed in a timely manner Respond to inbound sales enquiries and take appropriate action Create reports and submit performance data into agreed tracking systems for KPI monitoring Communicate and engage with colleagues and prospects in a professional and courteous manner Maintain good working knowledge of Microlise products and services Remain focused on key KPIs, to ensure continuous delivery of appointments in terms of quality and quantity What we re looking for: Previous experience in a business development role, ideally within the transport or technology industry Demonstrable experience of initiative, self-sufficiency, and motivation Enthusiasm, passion and a drive to succeed Excellent communication skills and able to deliver an engaging and professional experience via the telephone Ability to engage and build effective relationships with stakeholders quickly Organised and able to prioritise own workload in a fast paced environment Ability to find imaginative and practical solutions and make well-considered decisions Why Microlise?
