Merrimack County Savings Bank (MCSB) has a new and exciting opportunity for a Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager to join our team. The successful applicant will be a self-starter and have a strong background in all aspects of commercial loan underwriting; a solid understanding of necessary finance and accounting fundamentals relative to commercial lending activities; and possess solid communication skills, both verbally and written. The position offers a flexible hybridschedule outside of the initial training period.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing an assigned commercial loan portfolio held by the SVP & Senior Commercial Lending Officer, including interviewing clients and requesting necessary information, in order to recommend appropriate action on credit decisions and to complete annual reviews for larger credit relationships Develop and service a variety of business loans ranging from $100,000 to approximately $20,000,000, including commercial real estate loans (owner occupied and investment) and commercial business loans such as lines of credit and equipment loans that meet established lending policies Provide maximum bank profitability while minimizing risk to the bank Actively participates in and promotes business development activities designed to support the growth of the bank and loan production goals in order to meet team and individual loan production goals
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum of ten years commercial business banking experience and understanding of commercial underwriting and credit analysis Proven ability to translate information obtained from a variety of financial statements, collateral supporting documents, as well as relevant economic information into a well written, clear and concise credit proposal summary and/or annual review. Proven demonstrated ability interpreting and understanding associated legal documentation Extensive knowledge of Bank lending practices and regulation Exceptional analytical reasoning including complex financial analysis skills Demonstrated leadership capabilities; initiative and independent work capabilities with ability to work as part of a larger team Superior time management and execution skills with the ability to prioritize Broad knowledge of bank operations and prior experience collaborating across functional lines Strong personal computer skills, including working knowledge of standard MS desktop applications with the ability to learn associated bank systems; intermediate to advanced spreadsheet capabilities and Jack Henry or other equivalent banking application experience is preferred
