  • Specialized Loan Servicing (SLS) is part of Computershare Loan Services (CLS). In the course of servicing loans delinquent FHA loans, the Default Support department will oversee its preservation providers to ensure that property preservation actions are taken in line with HUD requirements and inconsideration of the specific risk associated with this product type.

A Role You Will Love
The FHA Property Preservation Analyst will provide vendor oversight considering claims, client, and loss considerations to effectively manage the preservation and post-sale conveyance requirements on applicable loans. In addition to ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reviews, the Analyst will be expected to understand HUD regulations, local requirements, client requirements, and claims impact. This Analyst will have a direct working relationship with our preservation vendors, insurance companies, internal teams, and SLS' clients/customers.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee and manage vacant and post-sale properties to ensure a compliant and strategic asset approach against HUD guidelines, including bid approvals/recommendations.
  • Oversee performance of preservation vendors
  • Oversee vendor adherence to regulatory requirements including accuracy and quality of performance against requirements
  • Exception oversight of reporting and data
  • Mitigate impediments with strong system and default knowledge
  • Support change initiatives associated with FHA, Regulatory, or Jurisdictional Changes
  • Consistently evidence the ability to maintain and managed required procedures and controls
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management
What Will You Bring to The Role?
The FHA Preservation Analyst is required to have a good understanding of mortgage servicing, including bankruptcy, foreclosure, eviction, and claims. The role requires use of this knowledge in both supports the oversight of resolution of FHA vacant and post-sale assets as well as support appropriate and cost-effective strategies. Knowledge of Property Preservation requirements and FHA Claims is also required. Functional knowledge related to SLS, including system applications and procedures will be acquired through on the job training and experience. In addition, the FHA Property Preservation Analyst requires a strong understanding of how standard business processes including data management, reporting, vendor oversight, risk management, and financial strategies.
Other education and key skills required for the role include :
  • 4-year college degree in a related field of study including business administration, accounting, finance, management, or related education experience, although this can be substituted with meaningful experience.
  • 3 years of experience in Mortgage Servicing, Banking, Credit, or comparable role.
  • 2 years of experience with engaging on FHA servicing either as a preservation provider, a claims role, or other comparable role.
  • Working knowledge of existing HUD regulations and requirements associated with claims including but not limited to conveyance requirements and HUD systems.
  • Show leadership to independently perform task, identify opportunities and share those with leaders in and outside of SLS, including SLS' vendors. This role does not have direct reports, but is expected to oversee projects, changes, and vendors.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and solve problems related to performing required task with available resources within the required regulatory and internal timelines.
  • Requires resourcefulness in regard to identifying opportunities and resources to efficiently address property condition concerns against the available post-sale dispositions and cost strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills that drive towards both short term and long-term solution. These solutions should include comprehensive thoughts regarding technology, people, vendor and control-based solutions.
  • Experience overseeing vendor performance.
  • Experience presenting or address client escalations and requirements.
  • Experience managing data and technology driven application that support oversight and control processes, as well as experience performing application development or change related process improvement and enhancements.

Compensation. $55,000 - $65,000 Annualized Compensation (Colorado candidates)
