FinancialAnalyst Overview:
  • Hybrid schedule; located in Little Rock but would consider remote for a highly qualified candidate
  • Responsible for performing various accounting tasks as assigned
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial reports and analysis
  • Preparation of regulatory filings and statements and review of financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to established accounting procedures and principles
  • General working knowledge of accounting systems

Essential Duties:
  • Preparation of Monthly Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Reports and Analysis
  • Special Projects include but are not limited too: working with budget, actuarial, and other data files, general ledger research and analysis, working with other departments outside of Finance to solve issues and process improvement
  • Assisting with others in the department as needed
  • Researches and resolves incoming mail requests (banks, state regulators, payment requests)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience with financial and accounting principles
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in accounting procedures. Excellent organization, written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently on tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to work independently on tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to work with a team and interact effectively with other department members
  • Proficiency in use of accounting software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload and willingness to learn
  • Ability to take on special projects with limited guidance
  • Proficiency in use of accounting software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook) and Company administration systems

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minimum of two years experience
  • 2 to 5 years related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • CPA or Eligible Candidate
  • Insurance industry background and/or public accounting. 2 to 5 years experience in corporate accounting department
