Job Title: HR Coordinator - immediate start

Hours per week: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (part-time considered)

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: starting from £22,000 (flexible dependant on experience)

Reed's client in the charity sector are recruiting for an HR Coordinator to join their supportive and friendly team. As HR Coordinator you will play a key role in supporting the People Advisory team to deliver excellent service. You will be involved in supporting the People team providing a full range of employee administration which will encompass the entire employee and volunteer journey. You will be somebody who cares about supporting your community and you will be joining a team who truly cares about the organisation they work for. Your development in the role and team will be a priority with the potential to study your CIPD whilst working with the organisation.

What is the day to day of the role?

  • You will be the first point of contact for all staff related queries providing professional and excellent customer service.
  • You will administer staff related documentation relating to employment data and processes
  • You will support payroll data entry ensuring that accurate records are kept
  • You will maintain and update the HR database and applicant tracking system
  • You will support the recruitment process including the formatting of job descriptions, adverts, interviews, shortlisting, and inductions
  • Manage the recruitment and selection administration via the applicant tracking system

Required skills and qualifications:

  • This is an entry level job so no HR experience is required. However, HR experience particularly in an HR Service capacity is desired
  • Experience managing the entire HR and Volunteer lifecycle
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent computer literacy skills with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of the employment law and Data Protection Act and its application in an HR setting
