Description and Responsibilities:

The South County Respite Licensed Clinician position is a combined role between two programs located in Southbridge, MA. This role will support South County Respite on-site/outreach, as well as the Mobile Community Response Team (MCRT).

South County Respite is a short-term congregate care facility and community-based support program which offers support services to adults diagnosed with a qualifying mental health/substance use diagnosis. The program consists of 6 adults living on-site and 7 adults living in the community. The goal of the program is to work collaboratively with individuals to develop the skills necessary to live independently and successfully in the community. This program is funded by the Department of Mental Health.

MCRT is a short-term (30-60 day) community-based program whose goal is to decrease the boarding times and/or recurring visits to local Emergency Departments. The MCRT program consists of a multidisciplinary team - which includes a hospital liaison, clinician, case manager and peer support specialist. The team works with the individual served in the community by connecting them with local resources, providing crisis support and intervention, and collaborating with service providers. This program provides services to individuals across the lifespan, ranging from children/adolescents to elderly. The MCRT program is currently funded through a CMHC grant awarded by SAMHSA.

This is a full time, 40 hour per week position with a schedule of Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday. This position also requires one clinical on call rotation roughly every 90 days.

Key responsibilities include:

Screen, enroll and complete intake documentation for individuals served within the South County Respite Program and Mobile Community Response Team.
Assess individuals served for risk and oversee the development and implementation of Safety and Response Plans/Crisis intervention Plans.
Collaborate with community providers, such as: Department of Mental Health, local hospitals/inpatient units, independent services providers, probation/parole, DCF/DPPC/EOEA, etc.
Provide clinical consultation to programs, staff teams and individuals served on and ongoing basis.
Qualifications:
Master s degree required in related field. Must be license eligible and obtain license within 1-2 years.
2+ years of experience working with children and/or adults with chronic and persistent mental illness preferred. Appropriate clinical experience required.
Demonstrated clinical judgement and strong work ethic.
Valid Driver s License.
