In your new role you will:
  • Guide the architectural team in terms of functional safety
  • Be responsible for the definition and refinement of safety requirements while ensuring a lean and efficient design throughout a platform
  • Handle 3rd party IP within our safety argumentation
  • Conduct functional safety reviews during the product development life cycle to ensure compliance with respect to the safety plans
  • Defend and explain the safety argumentation to development teams, customers and other authorities
  • Collaborate with project managers, development team and customers on functional safety
  • Define the project deliveries together with the supported project
  • Be responsible for regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Assure compliance of the used methodologies to safety (ISO 26262) and security (ISO 21434)
  • Open, active and early stage communication and escalation

Your Profile
You listen actively to the customers and consider their point of view, thoughts, and ideas in order to balance the customers' requirements and the interests of Infineon. With your systematic working style you live up to high quality standards, have a good sense for costs and strive for continuous improvement.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar with a high motivation to expand your personal scope
  • At least 6+ years of relevant working experience in the (automotive) semiconductor industry
  • Detailed knowledge about automotive standards and proven experience with ISO 26262, ISO21434, IATF16949, IEC61508
  • Knowledge of audits, certifications, standards and process management
  • Know-how in functional safety architectures (e.g. fail safe, fail operational, high availability) is highly appreciated
  • Experience in dealing with external customers is beneficial
  • A pro-active attitude in identifying and managing risks as well as strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent English language skills, German is desired
