We are looking for a Project Manager that manages Access Link initiatives and projects, providing strategic direction, supporting both short and long-term goals and objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities Advises senior management of any pending state and federal regulations and legislation that impacts Access Link and makes recommendations for responses and implementation. Analyzes issues and maintains information pertaining to paratransit related issues. Coordinates, assembles, and tracks documentation and information in response to external oversight and other agencies requests. Leads efforts for the implementation of internal or external findings and recommendations resulting from statutory requirements, audits or reviews. Manages Task Order Contracts for Access Link issues, assigns studies and relevant field work. Manages staff and consultants in creating reporting tools, communications and policy papers on Access Link projects and initiatives. Creates timelines, provides tracking, scope of work, workflows with inputs/outputs, milestones; facilitates communications on projects. Communicates with elected and appointed government officials, business and community leaders and NJ TRANSIT senior management to present analysis Participates in and attends community-sponsored events and government functions, as well as in-house meetings with consultant firms and corporate staff. Supports the development and maintenance of project controls for tracking and management of schedules and budgets. Structures agendas for key project meetings and distributes meeting minutes. Manages development of procurement support tools, cash-flow forecasting and draw down tools, and project status reports. Supports identification of funding opportunities, specifically federal grants that will advance and support the Access Link program. Works with NJ TRANSIT Communications to manage and support development of relevant press releases, media responses and other appropriate activities.
This Position Supervises:
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Four (4) or more years experience in paratransit field
One year of closely related experience can be substituted for each year of education required.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong financial and analytical skills
Must have excellent knowledge and understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how it applies to paratransit demand response transportation.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Knowledge of NJ TRANSIT fixed bus routes and fares preferred
Experience with contract implementation and oversight
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Working Environment
- Primarily office environment, off-site visits occasionally
