Job Title: Senior Care Assistant Location: Nottingham Pay rate/Salary: £23,608 Hours of Work: 40 (Alternate weekend work required) Type: Permanent Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods) We are hiring for a Senior Care Assistant to work within a residential care home that is experienced in delivering high quality service and provide quality person-centred care in line with individual care plans in a warm, supportive, understanding, and patient manner always maintaining respect and dignity of residents. You will be part of a highly dynamic, dedicated, and enthusiastic team who are motivated by making a difference. Duties of a Senior Care Assistant: You will be responsible for: Administer medication to residents as prescribed, accurately maintaining appropriate records Liaise with other care professionals relating to the care needs of the residents Supervise and support the care team, ensuring high quality person-centred care is provided and that accurate records of daily care notes are made Encourage, assist, and support residents to participate in leisure activities as appropriate to the individual, ensuring their social, physical, and emotional needs are met. This also includes escorting residents to outside appointments and leisure outings Help to serve meals and drinks when required, taking care to present meals and refreshments in an attractive way, with polite and courteous service Accurately maintain and update residents records as require Skills and experience of a Senior Care Assistant: As a Senior Care Assistant, you need have experience with: Working within a dynamic and developing environment Supervising and overlooking the day-to-day activities of residential patients Effectively communicating and encouraging residents and other members of the care team Identifying potential risks within the home and ensuring they are mitigated It would be beneficial to the Senior Care Assistant if you also had: Previous care or Care Home experience (desirable) NVQ2/NVQ3 in Health & Social Care (desirable) Team leader/Senior care experience (desirable) What the client offers: Excellent rates of pay Training and career development Free Uniform & DBS provided Onsite car parking and close to local transport links Friendly working environment in a purpose-built home Opportunity to take part in exciting trips and activities with our residents Next Steps: Apply to this Senior Care Assistant role through this advert.
