About the Role: My client has recently won a new build high spec residential block just a short walk from Great Portland Street Station. The traditional JCT contract has a total value of £24m and consists of demolition and new build of a large RC frame residential block with 24 very high spec units and a basement which this company will take all the way through to finish. They are seeking a new Site / Construction Manager with experience in this field to join their team and drive these projects through from site to completion. The role will be as a site based Construction Manager, reporting into the onsite Project Manager. Their main responsibilities will be maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management and establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements, and to provide effective management of contracts. • Organise the works and supply chain to provide the right working environment to avoid disruption between trades. • Understand the site priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintain good working relations. • Undertake the works in the most economic manner to eliminate waste and avoid non recoverable costs and preliminaries losses About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependant on level of exposure to industry and experience on related projects. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary around £70,000 £75,000. The package will also include various benefits relating to travel, pension and healthcare. This role will offer the opportunity for vertical progression within this growing organsisation. Requirements: Candidates must have extensive industry experience, directly relating to super prime residential work and must have worked in similar or higher positions in top tier or similarly set up main contractors. They must be easily able to manage motivate their team. They must show the contractual knowledge to identify risks and opportunities with client and subcontractors and have the ability to programme the works and identify key interfaces, risks and opportunities in the construction process. The successful candidate will be able to show length of service in only a handful of previous companies, and will be able to show vision and drive to progress further within this business.
