The Opportunity:

As the Portfolio Management Data Architect, you will translate enterprise requirements into long-term information/data architecture solutions, including conceptual, logical and physical models. • Analyze and define enterprise master data management strategies and models, provide best practice leadership to database administrators and application developers
  • Ensure that the database designs fulfill the requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth
    • Review the database deliverables to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards
  • Survey technology landscape to identify systems and solutions that align with firm strategy while collaborating with the Chief Enterprise Architect and executive leadership to recommend, implement and maintain appropriate technology solutions
  • Help determine the cross-application data standards, data distribution standards and integration strategies
  • Be the subject matter expert to Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, 3rd party vendors and implementation partners
  • Lead Technology and business teams to evaluate current technology solutions and plan, design, and coordinate multi-year roadmaps for all applications and support activities

Your Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience with a combination of solution, technical, and business architecture experience
    • 5+ years of experience leading technical architecture solution at a financial services firm with a demonstrated deep understanding of investment management data
  • Extensive experience developing data models to support portfolio management data flows from front office (OMS) and back office (portfolio accounting) platforms
  • BS in Computer Science or related field or a combination of technical skills, cloud, operating system, networking, security, data modeling and BI background or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience developing and communicating data strategy, architecture, and design, with an understanding of data architectural trade-offs concerning legacy data management systems, modern (largely cloud-based) data platforms, and integration including API strategy
  • Experience developing and implementing reusable data pipelines for integration and migration projects
  • Experience using ETL and Enterprise Data Management tools
  • Experience with application architectures, middleware architectures, and technology architectures
  • Experience with Agile methodologies in a cloud, database, data warehousing and BI space
