BASIC PURPOSE: Assist in executing the strategy for merchandising promotions on leveraging working knowledge & understanding of web optimization and campaign measurement, according to eCommerce business plans. Support short and long-term strategic web campaigns to drive online bookings and leads.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with global Marketing Team, Revenue Management, Onboard Revenue, Partnership, IT and the Brand team to execute seamless online promotional experiences for guests.
  • Ensure promotions are accurately merchandised on .
  • Develop website promotions and promotional landing pages.
  • Publish new promotions or edit existing ones using a content management system.
  • Partner with the creative team to adjust web promotion related imagery and other assets as needed.
  • Compile and analyze web metrics associated with promotional merchandising.
  • Evaluate promotional performance and effectiveness of campaigns; and modify future tactics as necessary.
  • Work with the web analytics team for metric tracking and react accordingly.
  • Work with digital optimization to ensure promotions, landing pages and other merchandising related concepts are optimized, and A/B tested.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, eCommerce, Merchandising, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.


EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years' experience in an eCommerce / promotional content environment. Online industry or travel agency experience preferred.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of the tourism field/travel/cruise industry.
  • Sound knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals and solid decision-making skills related to web merchandising.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Understanding of eCommerce analytical tools such as Adobe Analytics.
  • Understanding of A/B testing tools and landing page optimization.
  • Understanding of web usability and design principles.
  • Knowledge of HTML. Strong verbal and written communication skills to write clear and concise web content.
  • Interpersonal and business skills to interact with all levels of team members effectively.
  • Highly detail oriented with organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to shift priorities according to business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to persuade and convince others.
